We are here for the kids!

South Launceston Little Athletics Centre Inc. (SLLAC) is the largest Little Athletics Centre in Tasmania, catering for in excess of 500 parents and children (350 little athletes).

Athletes consist of boys and girls in the age range under 6 to under 15.

The parents include grandparents and we also provide activities for toddlers/infants.

SLLAC encourages gender equity and participation by children with a disability.

Events & Registration

SLLAC conduct various athletic events including but not limited to:

  • sprints
  • hurdles
  • race walks & long distance track events
  • discus
  • shot put
  • javelin
  • vortex & turbo javelin throwing events
  • high jump
  • long jump & triple jump
  • skills development events

Registrations and payments are done online.

Family, Fun & Fitness

Weekly programs are carried out for approx. six months, October to March, on a Saturday morning but also include several twilight meetings and Sunday Intra-State Athletic Meetings, culminating in the State Individual Championships in March.

South Launceston Little Athletics Centre Inc provides children between the ages of 5 -14 with the opportunity to compete in an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment and lasting friendship fulfilling the phrase Family, Fun & Fitness whilst embracing the motto of Australian Little Athletics of Be your Best.

The South Launceston Little Athletic Centre is made up of 6 different clubs who are all affiliated with different schools in the Launceston Area.
