State Event Teams

SLLAC has a proud history in relays sending big numbers from our centre participating in one of the only opportunities to compete in a team environment.
State Multi-Event Championships – Teams

Saturday 15th January 2022 5pm – 8pm (U13 – U15 only)
Sunday 16th January 2022 10am – 4pm – All Age Groups

Northern Athletic Centre, Launceston

Nominations close at 6pm on Sunday 9th January, 2021.
As this is a Championship event, no late entries will be accepted.

Athletes will be placed in teams according to current best performance.
Parents/guardians of registered athletes will be required to assist with allocated duties.

  • Under 13-15 athletes will do 7 events across 2 days (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th January 2022).
  • Under 9-12 athletes will do 5 events on Sunday 16th January 2022.

The fee is $20 per team which will be split amongst individual team members (approx. $5 per athlete).

State Relays Championships

Saturday 5th February 2022

Domain Athletic Centre, Hobart

The Championship events (heats and finals) for U8-U15 will include the following:

  • 4 x 100m relay: U8 – U15
  • 4 x 200m relay: U9 – U15
  • Swedish relay (1x100m, 1x300m, 1x200m & 1x400m): U9 – U15
  • Field Event relay: U8 – U15
  • Shuttle relay: U6 and U7

Under 6, 7 and 8 athletes will be offered a long jump event while the 4 x 200m relays are being conducted.

First events will be marshalled at 9:45 am for a 10:00am start.

LATas entry fees:
$6 per athlete per event (payable to the centre prior to competition)
No charge for U6 and U7 athletes.

In 2022, we participated in 58 championship events and overall we won 32 gold, 14 silver, 16 bronze.


  • 4×100 8G, 4S, 4B
  • 4×200, 9G, 3S, 3B
  • Swedish, 10G, 2S, 4B
  • Field, 5G, 5S, 5B
  • Both teams medalled in 6 events (U14B x4, U13B x1, U11G x1)
  • In events where there were heats, every SLLAC team made the final.

We had 7 athletes competing up an age group to fill both SLLAC and combined teams and we had a number of athletes competing in combined teams on the day.

Two records were broken (U11G 4×200 and U13G Swedish) and no disqualifications!
